To make it easier to know what a piece of source content is about and which ones to work on first, Transifex lets you categorize and prioritize source content.
Categorizing source content
Categories are like labels or tags and provide an extra hierarchy for organizing source content.
To categorize source content:
From the project navigation in the Dashboard, select the project with the source content you want to categorize.
Click the Source Content link in the left menu.
From the list of source content, pick the one you want to add a category to.
On the right side of the header, click on the three vertical dots to expand the menu and click Settings.
Type a category name into the Category field from the pop-up, then press the Enter or Return key. You can add as many categories as you like.
Hit Save settings to finish labeling the resource with the new categories.
When you return to the list of your source content, you’ll see the categories next to each source file's name.
Prioritizing source content
If you have multiple source files within a project but need some translated before others, you can assign priorities to each so translators can see at a glance which ones to work on first.
To prioritize source content, head to your list of source content and click on the space to the left of a source file to toggle through the priority options.
You can give each source file one of the following three priorities:
Using search and sorting options
At the top of the source content list, you can see a search field and some sorting options. A categories dropdown is also available only if you have added categories for your resources.
Searching through your source content
To search your source content, start typing, and the resource list will be automatically updated with the most relevant results. You can search by typing a resource's name or file format.
Sorting options
You can sort in ascending or descending order by:
Name of the resource
Oldest untranslated resource
Oldest unfinalized resource
Priority of the resource
Source updated. When was a resource updated/re-uploaded on Transifex.
Completion, the localization progress of the resource
📝 Note: If you want to check the resource that needs the most work, try sorting resources by completion ascending or oldest untranslated/unfinalized. This will bring less localized resources to the top of the list.
