Zapier is a tool that lets you connect different apps and set up “Zaps” to automate tasks. These Zaps, or workflows, are created by connecting triggers (events) in one app with actions (tasks performed) in another. The Transifex app in Zapier supports the following triggers.

Triggers

  • Localization Activity Completed (when a resource language is 100% translated/reviewed/filled up by TM or MT or 100% translated content is updated)

  • Task for a set of strings (a task for a set of grouped strings is created or translated)

Available actions in Transifex via Zapier

You can use Zapier to:

  • Trigger file upload to or download from Transifex.

  • Send direct messages to a Slack channel.

  • Add a comment to an existing Jira ticket.

  • Add a watcher to an existing Jira ticket.

  • Create a new Jira ticket for a set of strings stored at Transifex.

  • Update an existing Jira ticket upon translation completion of a set of strings when an action is performed in a linked application.

  • Find an existing Jira ticket for a set of strings stored at Transifex.

Setting up Zapier Integration

Zapier integration is available to all plans, and you will need an API Token from your user settings page to set up Zapier.

When you start creating your first Zap, you will be asked to sign in to Transifex.

When you click the Sign in button, you will be redirected to enter your API token. Generate an API token via user settings and paste it on the input field. Click continue, and your Transifex account will be linked to Zapier.
