📝Note: AI Report is available on our Growth Plan and up.

The AI report in Transifex provides detailed insights into the usage of Transifex AI and the quality of the generated translations.

Accessing the Report

You can access the report via the designated tab on the Localization Reports page.

If you have utilized AI translations through the editor, tasks, or AI fill-ups, this activity will be displayed alongside TQI scores and post-editing activities.

Organization Administrators, Project Maintainers, and Team Managers have permission to access this information. However, Project Maintainers and Team Managers can only view data related to the projects in which they are involved.

Using the Report

By default, you can view data for the past 30 days across all projects and target languages. You can further refine your results by selecting:

  • Project

  • Target Languages

  • Specific Date Range

📝 Note: Data is available starting from August 12, 2024.

Additionally, you can toggle the display of available information by target language on or off.

By default, you will see the total number of AI-translated characters and strings for the selected period:

“Display Languages”: Off

In this case, you will see the following information for each project:

  • Project: The name of the project where Transifex AI was utilized.

  • AI-translated characters: The total count of source characters that have been AI-translated.

  • Editor/Tasks/Fillups: Bars indicating the number of characters consumed through AI translation (editor, tasks, fill-ups). Hovering over each bar will display the relevant percentage.

  • AI-translated strings: The total count of source strings that have been AI-translated.

  • TQI i: A chart showing the number of translated strings and the percentage for each TQI range.

The TQI ranges are as follows:

    • Good: 0.85 - 1.00

    • Fair: 0.70 - 0.85

    • Poor: 0.50 - 0.70

    • Unusable: < 0.50

📝 Note: TQI in this report is displayed for all translations, regardless of how they were generated (e.g., through the editor, tasks, or fill-ups)

  • Post-edit percentage: A chart displays the post-edit percentage, indicating how much the initial AI-generated translation has been edited. Hovering over the bars will reveal the number of translated strings and the percentage for each range.

There are three brackets for Post-edited strings:

    • 0%: AI strings were used as is.

    • 1-10%: AI strings received only minor edits.

    • >10%: AI strings received more substantial edits or were replaced entirely.

These percentages are calculated using a distance algorithm. This algorithm calculates how much the original AI string differs from the edited one and assigns it a percentage based on that difference.

📝 Note: Only strings that have been edited or reviewed are displayed in this column

“Display Languages”: On

In this case, the same information will be shown for each target language:

Exporting Data

You can easily export the report data for further analysis by clicking the 'Download CSV' button. This will generate a CSV file containing detailed insights, including AI translation usage, TQI scores, post-edit percentages, and more, allowing you to process and analyze the data outside Transifex.
