The Transifex integration for Slack lets your team follow and manage localization work without leaving Slack:

Get notifications about new resources, issues, comments, announcements, and completed languages.
Reply to comments and resolve issues directly from Slack.
Check project, language, and resource progress with slash commands.

Installing the integration

📝Note: Only Organization Administrators can install the integration for Slack in Transifex.

Step 1: Connect Slack to your Transifex organization

In Transifex, go to Settings
Select Integrations from the left-hand menu.
Next to Slack, click Add to Slack. The installation continues in a new browser tab.
At the top right, select the Slack workspace linked to your organization.
From the Post to drop-down, choose the channel that should receive Transifex notifications
Click Allow

Once you're done, you should see a confirmation that the integration has been authorized:

Step 2: Install the Transifex app in your Slack workspace

Follow Slack's guide to adding apps to your workspace, and search for the Transifex app.

Configure notifications

Go to Settings → Integrations, and under Slack, click Notification settings.

Choose which updates are posted to the Slack channel. These settings apply across all projects in your organization.

Notification types

📝Note: Notifications are sent to a Slack channel, not to individual users.

Project updates	Sent when a new project is created and assigned to a team.
Resource added	Sent when a resource is added to a project.
Resource updated	Sent when an existing resource is updated with new source content.
Resource translated to target language	Sent when a resource is 100% translated in one of its target languages.
Resource reviewed in a target language	Sent when a resource is 100% reviewed in one of its target languages.
Resource proofread in a target language	Sent when a resource is 100% proofread in one of its target languages.
New member	Sent when a new collaborator is added to a team.
New announcement	Sent when a new project announcement is posted.
New Discussion thread	Sent when a new team discussion starts.
Reply on discussion thread	Sent when an existing team discussion receives a reply.
New issue	Sent when someone creates an issue on a string in the editor.
Issue resolved	Sent when an issue is resolved.
New comment	Sent when someone adds a comment on a string in the editor.

Slash commands

📝Note: Slash commands are available to all Slack workspace users who have the Transifex app installed.

List projects

Command	Syntax	Example

Lists all projects in your Transifex organization.
Click a project link to open that project.

Localization progress

Language progress	`/tx stats <project> <language>`	`/tx stats ensourcelang fr_CA`
Resource progress	`/tx stats <project> <resource>`	`/tx stats ensourcelang example_key_valuejson`

<language> can be the language code (e.g. fr_CA) or the language name.
Click a language link to open that language in the project.

Issues

Command	Syntax	Example
List issues	`/tx issues <project> [<resource>] [until\|from <date_time>]`	`/tx issues git`

By default, returns all issues across all resources in the project.
Add open or resolved to show only those issues.
Add a date/time to limit the results to a timeframe.
Click a user name to open their profile, a string to open it in the Transifex editor, or a resource link to open the resource.
From the output, you can reply to the issue creator or resolve the issue.

Comments

List comments	`/tx comments <project> [<resource>] [until\|from <date_time>]`	`/tx comments blank_project`

Set <resource> to all to get comments and issues across all resources.
Add a date/time to limit the results to a timeframe.
Click a user name to open their profile, a string to open it in the Transifex editor, or a resource link to open the resource.
From the output, you can reply to the comment creator.

💡Tips

When using slash commands:

Projects and resources: use their slug or name.
Languages: use their code or name.
Dates and times: you can write them in plain language, like yesterday or last Monday.

You can place the sample output screenshots right after each group's details. Before publishing, it's still worth checking where the open/resolved flag goes in the issues command.
