XTM Agent

Written by Christos Balafoutis

The XTM Agent is an AI assistant in Transifex. You talk to it in plain language. Instead of clicking through screens and menus, you manage projects and workflows in conversation. It can look things up and act in your Transifex organization, answer questions from the Transifex documentation, and report on the quality of your AI translations.

You don't need to know where the data lives or which report to open. Ask your question the way you would ask a colleague, and the agent finds the answer.

How to open the agent

  1. Log in to the Transifex Dashboard.

  2. Click the support bubble in the bottom-right corner.

  3. Choose XTM Agent.

  4. Type your question or the task you want done.

Not sure where to start? Ask "What can I do with the Agent?"

What the agent can do

The agent combines three sources, so one conversation can move from a how-to question to your own data.

Area

What it covers

Example question

Your Transifex organization

Projects, resources, languages, progress and tasks, through the Transifex MCP tools

"Which project has the most untranslated content?"

Transifex documentation

How features work, setup steps and best practices

"How do I set up a webhook?"

AI translation quality

Two analytics tools: TQI distribution and Post-edit outcomes (described below)

"How did our TQI look in September?"

TQI distribution

TQI distribution shows how your AI translation quality scores (TQI) are spread over time. Use it to check overall quality, compare languages or projects, and spot drops early.

Example questions:

  • "How did our TQI look in September?"

  • "French versus German this quarter."

  • "Any worrying drop in the last two weeks?"

Post-edit outcomes

Post-edit outcomes show what reviewers did with your AI translations. The agent can tell you:

  • Acceptance rate: how many translations reviewers accepted unchanged.

  • Acceptance by score: how the acceptance rate changes with the TQI score.

  • Auto-accept threshold: whether a given score is a safe cut-off for accepting translations without review.

Example questions:

  • "What was the acceptance rate last month?"

  • "Would 92 be a safe cut-off?"
