📝Note: AI Report is available on our Growth plan and up.
The AI report in Transifex provides detailed insights into the usage and quality of Transifex AI translations, and quality scores calculated through TQI Calculation tasks.
Accessing the report
You can access the report via the designated tab on the Localization Reports page.
If you have utilized AI translations or TQI calculations, this activity will be displayed alongside TQI scores and post-editing activities.
Organization Administrators, Project Maintainers, and Team Managers have permission to access this information. However, Project Maintainers and Team Managers can only view data related to the projects they are involved in.
Using the report
When you first open the AI report, you’ll see data for the past 30 days across all projects and target languages, including the total number of AI-processed words and strings for either AI translations or TQI calculations.
Filtering your results
You can further refine your results by using the filters at the top of the page:
Project: Select a specific project or view all projects.
Target Languages: Choose one or more target languages.
Date range: Specify a custom period.
📝 Note: Data is available starting from August 12, 2024.
Displaying data by language
Use the Display Languages toggle on the right-hand side:
Off: Shows data aggregated at the project level.
On: Breaks down the same information per target language.
Choosing what data to display
Use the AI Translations / TQI Calculations radio buttons at the top of the page to switch between views. Your selection will affect the data shown in the table.
AI Translations: Shows metrics for AI-generated translations created via the Editor, AI tasks, or AI fill-ups.
TQI Calculations: Shows metrics for translations that were evaluated through TQI Calculation tasks (including manually created translations).
AI Translations View
When you select the AI Translations display, you will see the following information for each project:
Project: The name of the project where Transifex AI was utilized.
Words: The total count of source words that have been AI-translated.
Action Type: Bars indicating the number of words consumed through AI translation (editor, tasks, or fill-ups). Hovering over each bar will display the relevant percentage.
Strings: The total count of source strings that have been AI-translated.
TQI (strings): A chart showing the number of translated strings and the percentage for each TQI range.
The TQI ranges are as follows:Good: 0.85 - 1.00
Fair: 0.70 - 0.85
Poor: 0.50 - 0.70
Unusable: < 0.50
Post-edit % effort (strings): A chart displays the post-edit effort, indicating how much the initial AI-generated translation has been edited. Hovering over the bars will reveal the number of translated strings and the percentage for each range.
There are four brackets for Post-edited strings:
0%: AI strings were used as is.
1-10%: AI strings received only minor edits.
>10%: AI strings received more substantial edits or were replaced entirely.
Not available: AI translations have not been saved or reviewed yet.
These percentages are calculated using a distance algorithm, which measures how much the original AI translation differs from the edited version.
📝 Note: This column includes translations completed directly in the Editor, as well as AI-generated translations that were edited or reviewed after being completed through AI Tasks or AI Fill-ups.
TQI Calculation View
When you select the TQI Calculation display, you will see the following information for each project:
Project: The name of the project where TQI has been calculated.
Words: The total count of source words on which TQI has been calculated.
Strings: The total count of source strings on which TQI has been calculated.
TQI (strings): A chart showing how many strings fall into each TQI score range, along with their percentage distribution, regardless of how the translations were created.
Exporting data
You can easily export the report data for further analysis by clicking the 'Download CSV' button, allowing you to process and analyze the data outside Transifex.
This will generate a CSV file containing detailed insights, including AI translation usage, TQI scores, post-edit percentages, and more. If you have selected TQI Calculations, the exported CSV will include TQI metrics for all evaluated translations.
